SERENA CAREMANI
She begun to study flute with M° Mario Fidel obtaining her Music Conservatory Diploma in flute under the guidance of her teacher M° Roberto Pasquini at the Rinaldo Franci Music Institute.
She completed her advanced training with masters like Roberto Fabbriciani (at the Salzburg Internationale Sommerakademie – Universität Mozarteum), Luisa Sello, Fabio Fabbrizzi, Stefano Fanticelli, Gianpio Mastrangelo, Rien de Reede, Patricia Morris and Nicola Mazzanti. Later she obtained a Master Degree in Flute and Musical Subjects at the Rinaldo Franci Music Institute under the guidance of M° Luciano Tristaino.
She then succeeded in graduating in Post Graduate Degree for Flute Teaching at the Pietro Mascagni Music Institute of Livorno (Leghorn) under the guidance of M° Mauro Rossi.
She attended Masterclasses for Windband Conductors studying with M° Jacob De Haan and M° Jan Van Der Roost in Vecchiano (Pi) and Conservatory of Milan.
She worked as a flutist and piccoloist in the Grosseto Symphonic Orchestra, Florence Agimus Orchestra, Siena Rinaldo Franci Orchestra, Massa Carrara Symphonic Orchestra, Arezzo Festival Orchestra, Livorno Massimo de Bernaert Orchestra, “Puccini and his Lucca” International Festival Symphonic Orchestra, Oberlin in Italy Symphonic Orchestra.
She now plays in the Montespertoli Amedeo Bassi Symphonic Orchestra (Florence) and in chamber music groups, such as flute and accordion duo, two flutes and double bass trio, Arezzo Flute Ensemble, Amedeo Bassi Woodwind Quintet, Le Flute Magique Flute Quintet.
She conducted the Clanis Vocalia Choir of Civitella in Val di Chiana (Arezzo), the 7 Note Music School Orchestra of Arezzo. She teaches flute in the Santa Cecilia Wind Band Music School of Civitella in Val di Chiana (Arezzo) and in the Amedeo Bassi Academy of Music of Montespertoli (Florence). She taught flute and solfége at the Arezzo 7 Note Music School, organizing also Flute Masterclasses for students. She worked as a flute teacher in the Arezzo Francesco Severi Secondary Music School and in many other Secondary Music Schools of the area.
She now works as a permanent flute teacher in the Secondary Music School of Pieve a Nievole (Pistoia).
She has got a Master Degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures and a post graduate Degree in English Teaching.
LUCA MAGNI
He graduated with honors in Flute at the Musical Institute “P. Mascagni”(Leghorn) in 1991, under the guidance of M. Nicola Mazzanti. He performed many concerts in Italy (Rome, Turin, Milan, Florence,Macerata, Bari, Bologna, Siena and Varese, Parma, Lucca,Modena, etc.) and abroad (Malta, France, Austria, Poland,Germany, S.Pietroburgo, Netherlands, Sweden, Spain, Denmark, Russia (St.Petersburg), Australia, United States, and a tour in Japan, both as a duo and as a solo artist, always receiving praise from audience and critics. Since 1996 has been active in the promotion of cultural heritage of Tuscany,by performing repertoire that combines the popular literaturewith classical music in Tuscany, in collaboration with Prof. C. Lapucci. In 2000 he held a Masterclass Flute in Struer (Denmark), at the Municipal School of Music. Since 2003cooperates with the composer and author Andrea Mati, withwhom he recorded a CD in 2007, published by Tactus of Bologna. In 2005 he held a Masterclass for Flute and Organ for the students of the Conservatory and the University of St. Petersburg in St. Petersburg (Russia) “Manfredini and contemporary authors’ Luca Magni Flute, Mariella Mochi Organ, with the TV channel Rambler and Radio Russia recording the performance. He has performed solo concerts for flute and orchestra (OCF Florence, Milan SMEs, RTOs and Chamber Orchestra Aquilana). In 2010 he held a masterclass on the fairy tale musical at the Conservatory of Music of Vibo Valentia. He has done a tourneè performing concerts in Japan in 1991 in Gifu, Tokyo, Shirakawa, Tagimi, Nagoya for flute
and organ, flute and piano, flute and koto. He has performed for the Italian Cultural Institute of Becanson (France), Amsterdam, Zaragoza, Lund (Sweden). He held concerts in Miami and Naples, Florida (2010) and New York (2014) at Columbia University (USA). In 2012 he performed concerts in Australia (Melbourne: Beethoven Festival, flute and piano, Mildura and Ballarat Festival International Organ Festival, Sydney S.Paul Church). MASSIMO BARSOTTI, pianist and composer.
During musical studies, done at the “L. Cherubini di Firenze “has won numerous piano competitions, both as a soloist and in chamber ensembles. He turned out to be one of the best performers of George Gershwin’s “Rapsody in Blue”, performed in various television and radio broadcasts, obtaining broad public and critical acclaim. He has collaborated with the Teatro Stabile of Bolzano, writing and arranging the music for the theatrical preparation of “La fable of the changed son” by L. Pirandello represented in the major Italian theaters. As a composer he wrote and directed the musical works “Vanità di Vanità”, “Stefano Primo martire” and “Vita e Passione di S. Cresci”, the latter, due to the interest of the Florentine curia, deposited at the Florence Cathedral, rediscovering success with the public and critics in numerous replies. He also wrote several pieces for different organic and a concert for three guitars and orchestra. As a pianist he has a concert activity both in Italy and abroad and is distinguished by the originality of his programs that he himself arranges and transcribing for piano works written for other instrumental formations and also popular songs. Alongside his work as a pianist and composer he also plays as conductor. They wrote about him: “..
