She explores the magic of her instrument, giving contemporary pieces a good start in life and playing unknown gems from the 20th century as well as celebrated masterpieces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maja made her Wigmore Hall debut as first violinist of the Brompton Quartet, of which she is a founding member. In 2019 she was awarded the Royal Philharmonic Society\u2019s Emily Anderson Prize. Maja has performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra and has performed as concertmaster of the Echo Ensemble and the Royal College of Music Symphony and Philharmonic Orchestra. Born in 1999 in Los Angeles, California, her music making has taken her across the globe. A prizewinner in many competitions, Emma&nbsp;&nbsp;received the \u2018Barbirolli Prize\u2019 at the 2019 Tertis International Viola Competition. As a result of winning the 2017 Cecil Aronowitz International Viola Competition, she released her debut album of rare Austrian Viola works on the Champs Hill label alongside pianist Albert Cano-Smit in July, 2021 to critical acclaim.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She has appeared at the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, France\u2019s Festival de Musique de Wissembourg, Krzyzowa Music, Verbier Festival Academy, Kronberg\u2019s Chamber Music Connects the World and the Vevey Spring Classic Festival in Switzerland. As a scholarship holder of the Mozart Gesellschaft Dortmund, she receives their support and appears as a featured soloist in their 2021\/22 season.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Emma\u2019s greatest passion lies in chamber music, having collaborated with artists such as Janine Jansen, Gidon Kremer, Lynn Harrell, Steven Isserlis, Daniel M\u00fcller Schott, Christian Tetzlaff, Nils M\u00f6nkemeyer, Anthony Marwood, among others.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Emma Wernig earned her Bachelors degree from the Colburn Conservatory where she studied with Paul Coletti and her Masters with Ettore Causa at the Yale School of Music. Tim has performed as soloist with orchestras including the NDR Radiophilharmonie, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the London Mozart Players. Highlights of the 2021\/22 season include a recording of Cipriani Potter\u2019s Concertante with BBC NOW,&nbsp;the premiere of Polo Piatti\u2019s Concerto and the IMS Open Chamber Music tour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2010 Tim founded The Teyber Trio with Tim Crawford and Timothy Ridout.
